How can I edit/manage my Direct Debit?

You can easily view and edit your Direct Debit in-app.

To view your existing Direct Debit, just head to the Account tab > navigate to ‘Linked bank account’ > here you can tap on ‘View’ to see the details of your Direct Debit.

Next, in order to edit your Direct Debit:

  • If you’re an iPhone user, tap ‘Options’ at the top right of the screen

  • If you’re an Android user, tap on the settings icon at the top right of the screen

  • Tap ‘Edit Direct Debit’

  • Edit the amount

  • Tap ‘Continue to schedule’

  • Set your Direct Debit schedule by selecting the date you’d like the cash to leave your bank account - please bear in mind that Direct Debits will take 3 working days to reach your Freetrade account

  • Tap ‘Save changes’

  • You will receive confirmation of your changes via email

Please note that if your original Direct Debit is scheduled to be taken within 2 working days, this payment may still be processed unless you cancel this directly with your bank.

For example, if your Direct Debit was originally due to leave your linked bank account on the 10th of the month, and you edited your Direct Debit on the 8th to another date, the payment may still go through on the 10th.
