Why isn't my Unsettled Cash equal to the total of my Sell orders?

Updated yesterday

If you have both unsettled buy and sell trades at the same time, the platform will automatically offset them in the background. This may reduce your visible unsettled cash balance.

For example:

You place a buy order for £20 (which becomes unsettled).

You then sell shares worth £30 (also unsettled).

Your net unsettled cash balance will show as £10, not £30 - because the £20 unsettled buy is offsetting the unsettled sale.

This behaviour is standard for how settlement works in the background, but it isn't currently shown in the app interface. Additionally, if you continue to reinvest unsettled cash, it can extend the time before your funds are fully settled and available to withdraw.
