TrueLayer is our partner provider who enables us to offer an Open Banking integration.

They are a regulated payments firm licensed by the FCA to initiate payments using the Open Banking APIs on behalf of Freetrade. When you deposit to your account using Open Banking in the app, Truelayer handles the connection to your bank and, with your consent, initiates the payment to our account. That’s why you will see their name as the Open Banking provider when authorising the payment with your bank.

TrueLayer never handles or holds your money, they only direct it from your account to ours.
