As a Plus for Life member, you’ll still have free access to the same great features you’ve come to love, except now you’ll also have access to the Freetrade Self-invested-personal-pension (SIPP) at no extra cost!

What it means to you!

If you already have a SIPP account open and funded with us, going forward you’ll no longer be charged any additional fees for your SIPP, saving you £7 every month!

If you have an open SIPP account but haven’t contributed to it yet, when you choose to start contributing, you won’t be charged an additional monthly fee. If you'd like to add cash to your SIPP or start a pension transfer from another provider, just head to the Account tab in-app to kick off this process!

If you’d like to open a SIPP, just head to the Portfolio tab > 👤Profile icon > Open a SIPP. Please bear in mind that opening a SIPP should only be considered if it meets your investment needs/strategy. You can read more about the benefits and limitations of pensions here.

If you have any questions, please reach out to us via in-app chat by tapping on the 👤Profile icon on the “Portfolio” tab and selecting “Contact us”. You can also email us at [email protected],

When you invest, your capital is at risk. The value of your portfolio can go down as well as up and you may get back less than you invest. Pension eligibility and tax rules apply.

SIPP is a pension product designed for people who want to make their own investment decisions. You can normally only access the money from age 55 (57 from 2028). Current rules can change. Freetrade does not currently offer drawdown products for our SIPP. Before transferring a pension you should ensure that this is the right thing for you to do and in particular you will not lose valuable guarantees or incur excessive transfer penalties. Pensions are usually transferred as cash so your savings will be out of the market for a period and therefore there is a risk you may lose out on investment gains during this period.
