What types of account do you offer?

We currently offer 3 account types:

  • General Investment Account (GIA)

  • Stocks and Shares ISA

  • Self-Invested Personal Pension (SIPP)


Basic plan

The Basic plan includes access to a GIA, ISA, and SIPP.

It lets you invest commission-free in all instruments available on Freetrade, including global equities, ETFs, trusts, funds, gilts, and UK Treasury bills.

The Basic plan also includes:

  • Ready-made portfolios

  • FX fee of 0.99% on non-GBP trades

  • Early market access with pre-market trading

  • Advanced order types, including recurring orders

  • 1% interest on uninvested cash up to £1,000

The Basic plan is free (£0/month).


Standard plan

The Standard plan gives you everything in the Basic plan, plus:

  • Enhanced stock fundamentals

  • FX fee of 0.59% on non-GBP trades

  • 2.5% interest on uninvested cash up to £2,000

This plan costs £5.99/month (billed monthly) or £59.88/year (billed annually).


Plus plan

The Plus plan gives you everything on the Standard plan, plus:

  • Priority customer support

  • Free same-day withdrawals

  • FX fee of 0.39% on non-GBP trades

  • 3.5% interest on uninvested cash up to £3,000

This plan costs £11.99/month (billed monthly) or £119.88/year (billed annually).


A reminder about ISAs and SIPPs

You are not required to open an ISA or SIPP when subscribing to the Standard or Plus plans, it’s completely your choice.

Please bear in mind that opening a SIPP or an ISA should only be considered if it meets your investment needs and strategy. You can read more about the benefits and limitations of these accounts here.
